MGM Resorts International and BetMGM have announced that they will continue their relationship with GameSense. The initiative is run by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) and aims to increase the availability of responsible gambling solutions.
The collaboration is intended to enhance both organizations’ guest and customer service models by putting an emphasis on having constructive, open, and encouraging talks with players about how to bet responsibly. This newly revised agreement will have a duration of five years when it is fully implemented.
Impressive Numbers
First licensed in 2017, MGM Resorts has announced that over 62,000 of its workers have undergone GameSense training in the last year, with 300 employees reaching the highest GameSense Adviser designation. The business has maintained visible GameSense signage at all its sites, including on marquees, and has broadcasted GameSense messages and responsible gaming advice to visitors on more than 35,000 televisions in MGM Resorts hotel rooms throughout the United States.
By integrating GameSense onto its platform, BetMGM has reached over 100,000 clients monthly via website visits and direct email interaction, all while promoting ethical gaming. The company’s GameSense system, which educates users on responsible gambling and helps them establish restrictions on their gaming, was completely implemented across all platforms last year.
Bill Hornbuckle, Chief Executive Officer and President of MGM Resorts said that the company is happy to set the standard and do its share to guarantee that gaming is a great experience thanks to their relationship and work with BCLC. As the industry grows, it will continue to provide players access to tools and skills that give everyone the ability to play responsibly.
BCLC President and CEO Pat Davis added that they are pleased to continue providing MGM Resorts with the resources necessary to deliver the GameSense experience at its resorts and on BetMGM’s website. He believes that the gambling industry as a whole may benefit from harm reduction and improved safety if professionals collaborate to establish standards of care and disseminate information on strategies that promote responsible gameplay.
Other Initiatives
Both MGM Resorts and BetMGM are committed to providing a fun and safe environment for their customers to bet, highlighting the significance of responsible gambling in the business.
For instance, BetMGM donated to the International Center for Responsible Gambling (ICRG) in November so that the latter could fund research into the effects of gambling advertisements on problem gamblers.
